Recipe: Crock Pot Baked Potatoes

Ok, don't laugh at me, but, I had no idea you could make baked potatoes in the crock pot! I was just browsing though some recipe ideas on Pinterest when I came across this wonderful idea. I got the recipe from Real Mom Kitchen and it worked very well.
It was so simple, before I left for work I just scrubbed and dried my potatoes then did my usual potato murdering (you know, where you poke the little steam holes with a fork). we keep some olive oil in a spray bottle so I sprayed the bowl, put the potatoes in, the spray some olive oil on the potatoes and sprinkle them with Kosher salt. I left them in the crock pot for 8 hours on low and ended up with 4 awesome baked potatoes!
I don't wrap my baked potatoes in foil, EVER. I just find that they turn out better without the foil.

Here is an easy-to-read breakdown of this Recipe.

1. Scrub and dry potatoes
2. Potato murder! Just poke some steam holes in your potatoes with a fork
3. Rub/spray some olive oil in the bowl
4. Load up your potatoes and spray them with olive oil.
5. Sprinkle them with salt. I like to use Kosher because of it's texture.
6. Set your crock pot on low for about 8 hours.

My crock pot is 7 quarts but not very deep so I could do maybe 5 really large Russets in it.

I hope you enjoy this! Our good friend Ian did!
